The food and atmosphere were great. Service was slow and took a long time to get tables cleared. Worst part... country music the. Whole. Time.

Dickeys catered our event and went above and beyond their customer service expectations for us!  Kipp & Alex are the best caterers ever!  You guys rocked!

Both times I've visited this place I've had a decent meal myself. A bacon cheese Burger was what I chose. It did not disappoint. The soup however wasn't anything I'd recommend or admit to making if I'd been the chef. (And I make killer from scratch homemade soups!)
My wife took the servers suggestion and ordered the brisket. It smelled so good I nearly regretted my having chosen the burger until she finished her first and only bite and informed me it was too dry to swallow. Upon giving it a closer look it was indeed rather dried out in appearance. I took a bite and indeed it was something that most likely was cooked much previously and reheated well past the warm, fully into the well done, 200+ temp. At $13 and change leaving it for the dishwasher to eat or throw away was something I never like to do.

We were a group of my four member family, as well as my sisters family from out of town on this visit, the previous was my family and the wife's siblings' family's. So a larger group.

Both times we visited there were a handful of guys sitting around the bar, with two 8-tops sitting vacant, sporting "reserved" signs. The bartender said that there was a party who reserved these two tables and were due shortly.
Both times at pay the bill time those two vacant tables remained empty. Having to sit in the rear of the restaurant wasn't really an issue, but because I'd left my dog in the car I had hoped I might be able to look out the window from our table to keep an eye on things.

I'll likely be hesitant to return to this place, certainly not for the bbq, but perhaps sitting at the bar and just having some beers could happen.

    Boy, where to start?

    Atmosphere:
BUSY.  If there's a blank space on the wall, I dare you to find it.  Or the ceiling for that matter - as I noticed there were pictures and memorabilia screwed to the ceiling as well as every wall.  I imagine they'll start putting stuff on the floor as soon as they figure out how.  While some of the stuff is pretty cool, it can be a bit overwhelming for some.
Also, maybe it's the small-town feel, or the chaos of the decor, but the place was loud and chaotic.  At a nearby table, a baby was screaming non-stop and not much effort was done to stop her (I've been there, too, so I felt bad for them...).  Young kids were roaming around the dining area, not always courteous of patrons.  Not sure where their parents were.

    Food:
Meh.  I had a beef wrap.  It was okay.  It was a bit greasy (maybe heavy on the grilled onions?) and I battled a stomach ache for a while (I've been worse, though).  The cheese curds seemed like they were frozen out of a giant bag - nothing fresh by any stretch.  My wife's onion rings were awful - they showed up VERY dark brown.  Either they were overcooked, or the oil was dirty.  I was brave enough to taste one and they were not edible (see "service" for more on that).  My son had the chicken tenders.  They were strange.  The chicken itself looked fine, but the breading was super dry - it absorbed every bit of moisture in your mouth.  The breading also had little flavor, so overall they were very plain - more or less a pricey vehicle to get dipping sauce to your mouth.  The menu had a nice variety of items - maybe other things were better than what we got...

    Service:
Just okay.  The waitresses were mostly friendly, but were sometimes hard to find.  When we reported the onion rings being "off", she seemed baffled and suggested that maybe (???) they were left in the fryer a little long. But she did replace them with better ones (a sweet batter - not my style).

I wish I had a better experience here as I don't live that far away and would like a "go to" place close to home.  This missed the mark.

On a side note, a few years back we had a work function at the wiffle ball field, which was a hoot.  They catered brats and dogs, I believe, which were fine.

Great atmosphere but food is mediocre at best. Everything has some sort of smoked meat in it. If I want BBQ I will order bbq. If I order a chicken Cesar wrap I don't want smoked chicken in it. Get my drift?
